I frequently start a piece of art not knowing the complete story. Only after it is done can I discern the intention. This young girl is bent slightly at the waist looking ahead with "anticipation".

I am not sure the title fits her as she looks intent and rather serious to me. However, once I put a flower in her hair and gave her a yellow dress, she seemed "glammed" up.

Clementine was made using a fabric applique technique. There is lace, buttons and a real feather in her hair. The background was inspired by William Morris wallpaper. The fabric is wrapped around a sealed wood panel and framed.
